Stone + Partners were appointed to design a new GP surgery to provide 3 consulting rooms, reception, interview/meeting rooms, offices and staff facilities, together with an adjacent pharmacy.

NHS Doctors Surgery in the centre of Taunton. Stone + Partners designed an extension to the original GP surgery to provide an additional 4 consultation rooms and 1 treatment room.

Swan House Nursing Home with provision for 40-beds specialising in the provision of services relating to accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care, caring for adults over 65 yrs, dementia, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and treatment of disease. Adjacent GP surgery (now George Clare Surgery) and Wellbeing Pharmacy.
Wincanton
Community Hospital is a Somerset NHS Foundation Trust Site in Wincanton. The
site currently comprises 28 inpatient beds and associated facilities.
This
proposal included upgrading the existing boilers in a new boiler room adjacent
to the main hospital building entrance, supported by new air source heat pumps
in a separate plantroom to the east of the site and photovoltaic panels on the
main roof, all installed as part of the hospital’s Carbon Reduction Scheme.
Stone
+ Partners were employed to produce drawings to enable planning consent to be
obtained for the works on the hospital site, and Building Regulation/working
drawings for tender purposes and construction on site, acting as Lead Designer
and Contract Administrator.
Post Graduate Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital providing teaching/training facilities for post graduate doctors including lecture theatre, skills training rooms, seminar rooms and offices.
Now part of the expansion programme at the hospital delivering higher education courses in Nursing as part of the University Centre Somerset.
The Horizon centre in Bathpool, a partnership between Somerset NHS Foundation Trust (SNHSFT) and the Young Somerset charity, recently opened as a new support hub aimed at helping children and young people with their mental health.
The Taunton hub offers a range of healthcare appointments and has a consultation suite and group rooms.
Enabling works and installation of new storage and dispensing robot in the Pharmacy at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
Stone + Partners were engaged to produce drawings and oversee the enabling works and phasing of the scheme, to enable seamless removal of the existing dispensing robot and installation of the new robot including overhead conveyor chutes, a walk-in fridge and temporary storage container to house supplies during the works. The phasing was carefully planned to ensure the least disruption to the operation of the hospital Pharmacy and minimise shut-down periods.
The project engaged closely with the pharmacy staff and the contractor Harris Bros & Collard as well as the suppliers of the dispensing robot (BD) and the specialist furniture (Medspace) to ensure a seamless integration of these elements for the successful operation of the robot.
Multi-million pound refurbishment and extension of adult mental health facility at Summerlands Hospital in Yeovil for Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
Refurbishment of existing ward and formation of new ward to double capacity of the site and improve both indoor and outdoor user environments.
The project engaged closely with service users and staff as well as the local Art for Life team to develop a cohesive interior visual language featuring bespoke wall mounted art works and colour matched furniture.
Final phase now complete and ready for occupation.
Recently completed Refurbishment project in Yeovil, conversion of an existing new build 4-bedroom house for Somerset NHS Foundation Trust to CAMHS unit, providing overnight accommodation, activity spaces, including sensory rooms and a single story garden room extension for vulnerable children and teenagers. External secure garden area to the rear incorporating a sunken trampoline, summer house and fenced off area for planting activities, with existing garage to the front converted to a workshop/activity room.
